Green River Police Department Administration

Chief of Police John Love is a 20 year veteran of law enforcement with experience and expertise in a variety of police areas. During his career he has worked in patrol, investigations, narcotics investigations, and on the Southwest Drug Enforcement Team. He's also been involved with the Special Response Team (SRT) and has been a Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) instructor at the Wyoming Law Enforcement Academy.  In March of 2007, Chief Love participated in counter terrorism training in Israel and continues to be an active part in ensuring Green River is educated in the war on terror.  Chief Love is presently serving his second term as a Peace Officers Standards and Training Commissioner, responsible for approving training at the Wyoming Law Enforcement Academy, and monitoring the certification of all Wyoming Peace Officers.
